The Greyhounds front office has decided to move it's league affiliation
for the third time in three years. The word became official several days
after the SEAFL Championship Game. Last year at this time the
Greyhounds were trying to be a were seeking a league to join after the
NAFL decided to shut down it's NAFL 2 division after the downturn of
the economy. Owner and Head Coach James Beeks said, that he
carefully analyzed the teams situation and looked at several league that
had offered the Greyhounds membership invitations and decided to
join the SEAFL because the direction where he wanted to take the team
was better in line with what this league had to offer at the time. I am
back at ground zero again, the search for the future league association
is underway. Headed into it's 6th season, the Greenville Greyhounds
has definitely proved that it's organization can survived with the format
that it has drawn up. The Greyhounds front office has been contacted by
5 different leagues showing an interest in accepting the Greyhounds as
part of their leagues. Beeks himself said he was surprised that he
received so many phone calls and said that it is a tough decision when
you have so much to consider. Not revealing any hint of what league or
opponents they will be facing in 2010 the field has been narrowed
down to two leagues. Coach Beeks said he will put out a press release
after January 3rd.
WHERE WILL the GREYHOUNDS BE IN 2010?
